My name is Bee. I was born in Myanmar, but when I was very young, my mother fled to Thailand in search of a better future. She worked tirelessly to support us, despite not knowing the language, and always reminded me never to give up. When I was fourteen, she passed away, leaving me on my own.
Her passing left me feeling lost and overwhelmed. The grief affected me deeply, and I struggled with depression, which made it difficult to focus on my studies and daily life. However, I refused to let this hardship define me. I gradually learned to cope by seeking support from loved ones, focusing on my education, and finding healthy ways to process my emotions. It was not an easy journey, but through perseverance and determination, I was able to move forward.
Since childhood, I have dreamed of studying medicine. I worked hard in high school and graduated with honors, but due to my legal status in Thailand, I could not use my high school credits to apply for university. I faced years of obstacles navigating legal barriers, studying for the GED, and finding a path forward.
But after everything I have been through, here I am: a third-year biomedical science student at Rangsit University. Over the past three years, I have gained invaluable knowledge that has only confirmed my passion for medicine.
Becoming a doctor is my ultimate goal, and although I am not yet enrolled in a medical program, I will never give up on this dream. My current degree is an essential step on that path, and I have only one more year to complete my program. With Zomia’s support, I can focus entirely on my studies and graduate on time.

Outside of academics, I prioritize balance. I play badminton almost every day when exams aren’t approaching, as it helps me relieve stress and feel like myself. I am also planning to compete in the university games next year. Life has never been easy for me, but I believe that the hardest times bring me closer to happiness.
