My name is Min, and I am currently studying Computer Engineering at Mae Fah Luang University. Coming from Myanmar, I have witnessed how difficult it can be for young people to continue their education when faced with economic hardship, uncertainty, and limited opportunities. This exposure has motivated me to work hard in my studies and inspired my long-term goal of contributing to Myanmar’s development, particularly in communities with limited access to educational and technological resources.
After completing high school and earning five distinctions on the matriculation exam, I continued my studies at Myanmar Maritime University. However, unexpected events changed the course of my educational journey. The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted education across the country, and the challenges that followed made it hard for many students to pursue their academic goals.
Rather than giving up, I continued looking for opportunities to further my education and eventually earned admission to Mae Fah Luang University in Chiang Rai, Thailand.
Studying abroad provided me with an opportunity to continue my education in a stable academic environment, but it also brought significant financial challenges. To support my studies, my family made major sacrifices, including selling our apartment and using our limited savings. Their support and belief in me continue to motivate me to work hard and make the most of every opportunity I receive.
Since joining Mae Fah Luang University, I have dedicated myself to both academic and personal growth. I currently maintain a GPAX of 3.95 and was honored to receive the MFU Partial Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Performance. Through my studies, I have developed a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Machine Learning because of their potential to address real-world challenges and improve people’s lives.

Beyond academics, I actively participate in university and community activities. I have joined many university events as both a participant and an organizer, helping me develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant in programming, Electric Circuits, and Electronics courses. In addition, I teach Java programming through a free online learning platform. These experiences have strengthened my passion for learning and sharing knowledge with others.
To further develop my skills, I have participated in several projects and competitions related to Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Together with my teammates, I won the Joint International Workshop and Competition on AR and AI 2024 and reached the Top 21 in the National Round of the Hug Mae Hackathon 2026, a competition organized to honor the contributions and legacy of Sirikit. These experiences improved my technical abilities, problem-solving skills, and teamwork while showing me how technology can be used to create positive social impact.
Despite my academic achievements and active involvement in university activities, financial difficulties remain a significant challenge. My father has retired due to health issues, and my mother is a housewife without a stable income. As a result, supporting my tuition fees and living expenses has become increasingly difficult for my family. Although I continue to seek scholarships and other opportunities, additional financial assistance is essential for me to complete my degree without placing a greater burden on my family.
Receiving a Zomia Loan would allow me to continue my education and focus on achieving my academic and career goals. More importantly, it would help me prepare for the contribution I hope to make after graduation. I want to support underserved communities in Myanmar, particularly in areas where access to technology, information, and educational resources remains limited. I hope to help children with fewer educational opportunities and support people who are unfamiliar with technology by sharing knowledge and promoting digital literacy. Through these efforts, I hope to create more opportunities for future generations and contribute to the long-term development of my country.
