My name is Fame, and I am from Uttaradit Province, Thailand. I grew up in a single-parent household where my mother works in manufacturing and is the sole provider for our family. Watching her carry that responsibility for both me and my sibling shaped my sense of discipline and my determination to build a stable future through education.
I am currently working as a Health Screening Officer, doing occupational health screening, and this experience has confirmed what I already believed: I want to spend my career caring for others. I have been accepted into the Bachelor of Nursing program at Mahidol University, and for me this is more than an academic achievement.
When I told my mother about the acceptance, it became one of my most treasured memories — a moment that made everything we had worked through together feel worthwhile.
To reach this point, I worked hard academically while carefully managing my expenses to avoid adding to my family’s burden. I also helped classmates who struggled with their studies by sharing notes and explaining lessons, because I believed that moving forward together mattered.
My long-term goal is to become a registered nurse and contribute to healthcare in my community. Nursing is a profession that requires both skill and compassion, and I am committed to developing both throughout my studies and career. I see this opportunity not only as a way to improve my own life, but to support my family and give back to others in the future.
