Student Portrait

In the field of technology, I see a purposeful and versatile vocation. I love the fusion of computational thinking and problem solving with the ability to transform an idea into reality. I believe that I can fulfill my dream of studying computer science at KMUTT and becoming an AI engineer to help disadvantaged communities gain the power of technology. After graduating, I will commit my time, energy, and efforts to creating impactful projects that address the needs of underserved people.

It has always been my passion to solve complex problems and improve people’s lives. I am a social entrepreneur passionate about technology and developing software solutions for real-world problems.

During the pandemic, I launched the Mentiply mentoring app, a platform that matches users with experts and mentors from different industries based on their needs and provides consulting services.

I am currently collaborating with other teachers on an affordable online English course through a new initiative called Mee Eain Academy. Most of our students come from rural areas like Yakine State, where access to resources and English classes is limited. I am also developing an app that allows students to download lesson videos and watch them offline, so that unreliable internet or electricity is not a barrier to learning.

In my family, I have only my father and a younger brother. My mother passed away many years ago. Although my family struggled financially, my father always encouraged me to pursue my education. Growing up in a low-income household made my dream feel out of reach at times, but I refused to let my circumstances define my future.

During my two years at the University of Yangon, I worked on projects in IoT and computational physics, building a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals.

I built a prototype of an automated farming system called Modern Agriculture, which monitors and manages environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and hydration. With that project, I represented Myanmar on the world stage, placing third in both the China Adolescent Science and Technology Innovation Contest (CASTIC) and the China-ASEAN Youth Innovation Contest.

I have also represented Myanmar in several international programs, including the YSEALI Young Southeast Asian Leadership Initiative hosted by the University of Texas at Austin, the JENESYS ASEAN-Japan Inbound Exchange Program, the Asian Universities Alliance Youth Forum in Indonesia, and the STEP Youth Sociovation Forum at Singapore University of Social Sciences.

My experience as a mobile app developer has sharpened my communication and management skills, strengthened my ability to solve problems, and taught me how to work proactively with colleagues. It has also helped me embrace the challenges of learning new domains and technologies.

Despite my financial challenges, I am committed to pursuing my education and becoming an ethical AI engineer who makes a positive impact on my community. I strongly believe that I will be able to make my dream a reality and affect thousands of lives with my lines of code.
