Student Portrait

Since childhood, I have dreamed of becoming someone who makes life easier, creating solutions that save time and effort. This dream sparked my interest in engineering and mathematics and eventually led me to discover my true passion: becoming an engineer and problem-solver focused on energy-saving innovations.

To become a skilled engineer capable of designing meaningful solutions, I knew I would need to expand my knowledge and overcome various challenges, including time constraints and cultural barriers I encountered during my college education.

I graduated from high school in Yangon, Myanmar, earning five distinctions on the matriculation exam. I then joined Yangon Technological University (YTU), majoring in Mechanical Engineering. After four years of study, my academic journey was interrupted by the COVID-19 crisis and political instability in Myanmar.

My formal education came to a halt in 2020, but I never gave up on learning. I turned to self-study and completed several online certificate programs in IoT and Machine Learning. Through this experience, I discovered my true calling within engineering: Information Technology, Data Analysis, and Artificial Intelligence. I decided to shift my focus toward IT-related engineering, where I believe I can make the greatest impact.

Beyond academics, I actively engaged in community work and extracurricular activities. At YTU, I served as a major representative and CEC member of the Student Union for two years, developing leadership and problem-solving skills, and was selected as Executive Director of the Student Union Grant. I was also one of the founding members of the YTU Dance Club.

During the COVID-19 crisis, I served as Co-Officer in the Marketing and PR department of Zee Kwat Academy, a non-profit social enterprise providing free, modern education to children from diverse backgrounds.

Witnessing the mental health impact of Myanmar’s crisis, I joined Mental Heal as Chief Marketing Officer, providing mental health awareness, counseling, and therapy services to university students and professionals.

I was also runner-up in the 2019 Yetagun Youth Programme, a national entrepreneurship competition, and runner-up in the 2021 Innovation Circle Grassroots Competition, a regional contest among ASEAN countries in which our team was selected from over 200 applicants across Southeast Asia.

In 2022, I was awarded a full tuition scholarship to study at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in Thailand, allowing me to resume my academic journey. I have now completed nearly one year at KMUTT and found clarity in the path I want to pursue. I am committed to making the most of every opportunity and to achieving my dream of becoming a skilled engineer who brings meaningful, time-saving innovations to the world.
