My name is Briyan. I was born and raised in Myanmar. In the 21st century, engineering plays a vital role in every community. I can observe numerous devices and infrastructures designed and constructed by engineers.
Since I was young, I have been interested in learning science subjects and aspired to become an engineer when I grew up. During high school, I studied basic calculus and physics, achieving good grades in electric field lectures.
Additionally, I studied basic engineering subjects and the fundamental principles of a ship in my first year at my previous university. I realized that the ship’s electrical system is one of the most critical positions in the technical hierarchy of a ship.
Therefore, I discovered that electricity is essential for operating every system in our daily lives, which fueled my passion for electrical engineering. I am familiar with the methods and strategies in basic fields of electrical engineering, as I performed numerous practical physics experiments during my academic years.

I researched universities that offer relevant opportunities and found that KMUTNB would be a strong match for me to pursue an engineering course. Following that, I applied to this university and received a full tuition waiver for the Electrical Engineering International program. I consistently attended my lectures without absence and submitted my assignments on time.
As a result, I became a class monitor, motivating and supporting my classmates. I also took on leadership roles in class projects and activities at my university, such as the Innovative Projects Show and sports events. Additionally, I joined the Football Sports Club as an extracurricular activity. These experiences improved not only my leadership skills but also my teamwork abilities.
Furthermore, I worked as an assistant student on the student committee because I wanted to tackle complex problems using my problem-solving skills. I have consistently achieved good grades every semester and was selected for a study visit at Regards Engineering Co., Ltd with a team of five others. This experience enhanced my communication skills as I interacted with diverse individuals in the industry. Sharing ideas and suggestions for reports and projects also sharpened my critical thinking skills.
I would also like to highlight my volunteering experience. I participated as a volunteer in many organizations and gained valuable insights. I served as a peer educator in the English Club at my previous university, where I excelled in learning English. This skill allows me to communicate effectively with people from various nations. As the only child in my family, I have learned to manage myself well and respect time management.
I actively participated in various activities organized by my current university, KMUTNB, such as the Cleaning Campus campaign, a study trip to Kanchanaburi, and major football tournaments. I also volunteered at the TGGS and RWTH Alumni Reunion from Aachen University held at my university. These opportunities allowed me to meet and share knowledge with individuals from different educational fields.I strongly believe that I can actively participate in all activities during my upcoming academic years. I spend most of my time with a willingness to learn in my field, and my passion for electrical engineering has only increased.
Upon graduating from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, I plan to return to Myanmar to work as an entry-level electrical engineer, regardless of the salary. There is so much I can learn and explore from the Thai and German technologies I encounter at my university, and I aim to contribute these techniques to my local community. I firmly believe that education is a force that can shape a nation, and I hope to achieve that soon. While many believe that becoming an electrical engineer will lead to significant financial rewards, I genuinely want to help build a better society for my country, whether in urban or rural areas.
