My name is Thar, and my journey has been shaped by hardship, responsibility, and determination. I was born in Monywa, Myanmar, and raised by my mother after my parents divorced when I was two years old.
My mother supported our family as a market vendor, working long hours under physically demanding conditions. My elder sister later supported my education so I could continue studying, but when she became seriously ill and later passed away, my mother carried the full burden alone. Witnessing her sacrifices changed my mindset. I came to understand that education was not just an opportunity for me but also a responsibility.
I began to take my studies more seriously and worked hard to improve myself. I completed the matriculation exam with distinctions in all six subjects, including a perfect score in Mathematics. When the COVID-19 pandemic and political instability disrupted my plans, I continued learning on my own.
During that time, I discovered programming through my sister’s books and guidance from her friend. At first, I was unsure, but I soon realized that I enjoyed solving problems and thinking logically. Programming became something I genuinely cared about.
With limited resources, I continued to learn independently and built my skills step by step. In 2024, I studied for the SAT using free online materials and took the exam within a short time, which allowed me to gain admission to study Software Engineering at KMITL. Entering university was not easy. I did not have my own laptop and relied on library computers or borrowed devices to do my work. I also worked as an SAT tutor to cover my expenses. Despite these challenges, I remained focused on my studies and continued to improve.
Beyond academics, I have always believed in helping others grow. I have volunteered as a teacher, mentored students, and shared knowledge through peer learning and webinars. Through these experiences, I discovered that teaching helps both others and myself. It strengthened my understanding, built my confidence, and showed me how many capable students lack guidance at the beginning of their journey.

Today, I continue my education with determination, but financial challenges remain a major barrier. Despite doing everything I can to support myself, I am at risk of being unable to continue. I am not someone who gives up easily. Every challenge I have faced has made me stronger and more focused.
